Shrishti Choir and Band are known for their astounding performance. The Choir exhilarates the audience with evergreen numbers and the band comprises the instruments like the Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, Jazz, Cymbals, Kettle, Violin etc.. and the artist on these instruments replenish the listeners. A special coaching is given to master these instruments by professional instrumentalists, on paying a nominal fee.
Shrishti dancers captivate with their intricate foot work and flamboyant dance steps, synchronizing with the rhythm of the music! Dancers choose national and international themes and dance types, enamouring the onlookers. Shrishtians hold the pride of winning the inter school dance competitions every year due to their intriguing novelty introduced in every dance performance. School has dance teachers teaching classical dances like Bharatham, Kathak, Folk and Western!
Inter House Activities
The students are divided into four houses – Cauvery, Ganga, Krishna and Narmada, named after the four important rivers of India. To bring out a healthy competition among them, inter house activities are conducted every week.

The house that bags the maximum points is awarded the IHA shield.
Utsav is a cultural event that every Shrishti is proud of. It is a programme of variegated, multifaceted, multitudinous talents, that are maximally harnessed. The variety of programmes are interspersed with tetra lingual songs in Tamil, Hindi, English & French by the school choristers. It’s a colourful, extravagant bonanza, usually held in the second week of February, attracting the Vellorians. Almost 70% of the students of the school participate in the programme.
Citizenship Training Camp
Citizenship training camps are organised once in two years to give an opportunity to the students to stay in the school premises over night. The camp comprises of various activities like camp fire, trekking, treasure hunting etc. ‘Team Work’ is imparted to the students and the value of working together is exposed to them through the camp, promoting holistic development in them.
The Edu Heal foundation conducts competitive exams like NISO, NIMO, ICO, IEO & NBTO every year. Many students acquire scholarships from Edu Heal for their outstanding performance in the exams in the State and National levels. Orient Longman with Trinity College, London brings the graded examinations in Spoken English (GESE). The GESE is accredited in the united kingdom by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and is an internationally recognised standard of proficiency in the English Language. Our students emerge out meritoriously in all these competitive exams.
Excursions are the most awaited part in every Shrishtian’s life. Right from Std. I to Std. XII, all the students are taken on educational trips every year. They have a unique opportunity to explore the outer world in the company of their friends and teachers. From Std. VI onwards, students are taken on trips that involve night stays. A few places so far ventured by the Shrishtians are:
- Theme Parks in Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai
- Cochin / Trivandrum
- Bangalore / Mysore
- South of Tamil Nadu
- North India – Agra, Delhi, Jaipur
